Alpona Akther is a Lecturer of Business Administration (HRM) at the University of Brahmanbaria. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and a BBA in Management from Jagannath University, securing 1st and 2nd merit positions, respectively. Her academic and research interests include Human Resource Management, leadership and employee performance, organizational practices, social media adoption, business resilience, and women’s career development.
She has gained practical HR experience through her internship at Paramount Group, particularly in recruitment and selection. Her research work focuses on contemporary organizational and workplace issues, including AI in HRM, social media adoption and SME business resilience, as well as maternity experiences, support mechanisms, and career trajectories of women micro-entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.

She has actively participated and acted as a keynote speaker in academic seminars, research workshops, HRM training programs, and professional development activities. She also has experience in seminar organization, along with involvement in student and university-based extracurricular activities.
