Celebration of International Human Resource Day 2025

The Department of Business Administration at the University of Brahmanbaria proudly organized a seminar on 20 May 2025 to celebrate International Human Resource Day. The event served as a vibrant platform to highlight the vital role of human resource management (HRM) in shaping organizational excellence and national development.
A large number of enthusiastic students from across the university graced the seminar.
Professor Dr. Syed Samsuddin Ahmed, Honorable Vice Chancellor; Farjana Binta Khan, Registrar; Professor Kazi Md. Mustafa Jalal, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies. The seminar was graced by the presence of Md. Monowar Uddin Talukdar, Head of the Department of Business Administration, faculty members from various departments, and a large number of enthusiastic students from across the university.
The program began with a welcome speech by the dean, Professor Kazi Md. Mustafa Jalal, who warmly welcomed all attendees and emphasized the importance of HR professionals in today’s global workforce. He also mentioned the main core principle of HRM, which is “the right person in the right place at the right time.”
The registrar, Ms. Farjana Binta Khan, delivered a concise and thoughtful speech, emphasizing the importance of valuing human capital and the contribution of HR professionals in creating better institutions and workplaces.
The keynote speaker, Alpona Akter, Lecturer of Human Resource Management, delivered a rich and insightful presentation on the evolution, functions, and significance of human resource management. She highlighted the crucial role HR plays in aligning people with organizational goals.
Following her speech, Md. Monowar Uddin Talukdar, Head of the Department of Business Administration, added depth to the discussion by focusing on the Workplace Proximity Effect. He encouraged students to build relationships with productive peers and maintain a collaborative mindset to succeed in their professional lives.
The highlight of the seminar was the motivational speech by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Syed Samsuddin Ahmed. He inspired students by emphasizing the transformation of individuals into national assets—how we can make our people true human resources. He also discussed the interrelation between natural and human resources, stressing the need to utilize our human potential to manage and develop the country’s natural resources efficiently. He encouraged students to view themselves as future resources and leaders who will shape the future of the nation.
The successful celebration of International Human Resource Day 2025 on the students and participants, encouraging them to value human development and prepare themselves as future HR leaders committed to national progress.
