Martyr intellectual day observed at University of Brahmanbaria

University of Brahmanbaria pays homage to the martyr intellectual’s portrait led by the honorable Vice-
Chancellor, Professor Dr. Syed Samsuddin Ahmed. On this occasion at 10 am, the deans and heads of all
departments and officials of the University of Brahmanbaria assembled to pay their respects by placing
wreaths at the Kawtoli Intellectuals Memorial.
On December 14, 1971, knowing that the defeat in the Great War of Liberation was certain, the Pakistani
invading forces had hatched a despicable plot to demoralize the Bengali nation.
On this hysterical day of Bengali nation, Pakistani army killed many intellectuals of the country- teachers,
scientists, thinkers, writers, journalists, artists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, athletes, government officials
with their local agents. In addition, Pakistan armed forces carried out massive massacres on that day.
But, Bir Bangali snatched away their victory on December 16, 1971.
