University of Brahmanbaria Observes “July Memories” with Solemn Remembrance, Video Presentation, and Family & Student Tributes
The University of Brahmanbaria organized a commemorative event titled “July Memories” on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the university auditorium to mark the anniversary of the historic July mass uprising and to honor the martyrs of the 2024 student movement against injustice.

The event began with a video presentation showcasing the July movement, its struggles, and the sacrifices made by students and the people. The moving footage reminded everyone of the courage and determination shown during those critical days.

The discussion highlighted the role of students and the masses in the July movement, with speeches reflecting on their resilience and unity. The program was presided over by Professor Kazi Md. Mostafa Jalal, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, and featured remarks by Dr. Md. Shah Alam, Professor of English and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, along with other faculty members.
Notably, family members of the martyrs attended the event, offering emotional speeches about their loved ones’ sacrifices and urging today’s students to carry forward their ideals.
In addition, students of the university also delivered speeches, sharing their thoughts on the significance of the July movement in inspiring them to stand for justice and truth. They expressed their respect for the martyrs and pledged to embody their spirit in both academic and social life.


The event concluded with a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs and a collective pledge to uphold justice, unity, and the values for which the movement stood.
